Squarespace 7.1 Upgrade and Full Website Redesign for a Security Company
What they needed:
SAE had a decade-old Squarespace website and they were dying for an upgrade and redesign! Their old site was stuck on Squarespace 7.0 and they were applying for a prestigious business program with some unsettling feedback: “Your website isn’t good.” — oof! They needed a full site redesign to organize their content and professionalize their design.

What we did: a full Squarespace redesign and expanded build!
We started by duplicating the site and upgrading to Squarespace 7.1. Then the fun could begin! The team at SAE wanted to showcase the company as a whole and the value of their work, so instead of using photos of their team, they opted to put the client first and present the company’s reputation and the services they offer with simple black and white images (nothing too personal) and their brand orange.

Check out some Before and Afters
Although their original home page (on the left) was beautiful, it lacked header and footer structure and navigation clarity and it was extremely light on content. In lieu of their colorful skyline, they opted to lean into black and white images with pops of their brand orange and a bit of scroll-based animation to liven up the user experience.
Below the original home page on the left, several similarly sparse service pages were combined into a robust single Service page on the new site with clear categories for Commercial and Residential options.
